Najib Shah (IRS C&CE:1979), the incumbent Member (Budget) CBEC, took over the charge from outgoing Chairman Kaushal Srivastava (IRS C&CE:1978) as new Chairman. He will have a tenure as Chairman till March 2017; probably the longest tenure as Chairman in recent past.
The formal orders against his appointment is expected on July 01.
