Lt General S K Saini assumed the office of the commandant of the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun on May 21.
According to a press release issued by IMA, he was earlier a senior directing staff in National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi. Lt General Saini is an alumni of National Defence Academy (NDA) and IMA. In 1981, he was commissioned to the seventh battalion of the Jat regiment.
In a career spanning 36 years, he has held many important posts.
