Anil Patel, additional secretary to the Gujarat government, has been suspended on charges of speaking in public about 'corruption' in the Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board that deals with the development of Dwarka, Somnath, Shamlaji, etc. 

In a video clip that has gone viral, Patel is heard talking to a RTI activist about the corruption in the Board.

Patel's point of view is that he had notified the state government about the corruption but he was disappointed as no action was taken. So he was constrained to talk in public. 

The ground for his suspension and transfer to a training institute is that his public statement is against the conduct rules of officers.
