Deendayal Port Trust retains its position for 13th consecutive year

484At the time when Coronavirus scare has unleashed negativity all around and hitting the business activity the hard, there was some sigh of relief with the news about Deendayal Port Trust (DPT) surpassing the target fixed for it by the Union Ministry of Shipping. As per chairman of DPT, S K Mehta (IFS), who tweeted on March 31 that the DPT has surpassed its target by 3.5 MMT by achieving total cargo throughput of 122.50 MMT with a growth of 6.15 percent and has retained its position on the top for the 13 consecutive years. Mehta congratulated the entire team of DPT for this achievement.
