General Secretary Bhupender Yadav has emerged as BJP's crisis manager. Whether it be states or Parliament, his persuasive abilities have earned him the respect of his party and parliamentary colleagues. He is also most sought after MP for heading crucial Parliamentary select committees. In the past, he has headed the Parliamentary committees on GST Bill, Mines and Minerals Bill and Enemy Property Bill as also the Joint Committee on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2015.
Now, since the Rajya Sabha has agreed to appoint a select committee to look into the Bill to accord constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes, Yadav has been nominated as its chairman. This will be the eighth select committee he will be heading.
