The government has decided to include all Central Plan schemes under the Public Financial Management System (PFMS). The Finance Ministry asked all Central Ministries and Departments on Friday to fully roll out the PFMS for their subordinate offices by October 31 and for all grantee institutions by March 31, 2017. "The Government has decided to universalise the use of PFMS to cover all transactions/payments under the Central Sector Schemes," said an official release. The PFMS provides scheme managers and online platform to track spending and their last mile utilisation.
