812The NaMO administration on Wednesday effected
a midsize reshuffle in the Central Bureau of Investigation. Jt Director Praveen Sinha (IPS:1988:GJ) was
appointed (on promotion) to the post of Additional Director General in CBI
whereas Amit Kumar (IPS:1998:CG) was appointed Joint Director in CBI. Amit Kumar had repatriated to Chhattisgarh on completion tenure in CBI on December 04, 2017 only. In addition, tenure of two DIG level IPS
officers in CBI were curtailed. Anish Prasad (IPS:2003:TR) was prematurely
repatriated to cadre state of Tripura whereas Abhay Singh (IPS:2002:MP) was
laterally shifted from CBI to Ministry of Home Affairs on curtailment of tenure
in CBI.
