The additional charge of the post of Housing and Urban Affairs was assigned to Anurag Jain (IAS: 1989: MP) till the appointment of a regular incumbent. Currently, Anurag Jain is Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

Weeks ahead of the retirement of Rohit Kumar Singh (IAS: 1989: RJ), the incumbent Union Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, Nidhi Khare was laterally shifted from Land Resources to appointed as OSD in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. She will take over as Secretary (Consumer Affairs) from R K Singh on his retirement on 31.03.2024.
