An ordinary issue of extending the services of BHEL CVO has been complicated. The three-year tenure of incumbent CVO Arvind Kadyan (IDAS:1987) ended on February 17. However, the authorities are not sure whether his services be extended or a new officer found.

Indianmandarins had earlier reported on Feb 08, 2016 that, though the administrative ministry recommended for appointment of a new CVO, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) recommended the extension of services of the incumbent for a period up to February 2018.

Reportedly, the administrative ministry is said to have returned the extension proposal for the third consecutive time. Following the development, DoPT has called for the ministry’s views. It looks like a routine exercise and Kadyan may soon find his services extended for two years.
