Chandigarh (30.04.2024): Former Punjab ADGP Gurinder Singh Dhillon has joined the Congress ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Punjab Congress in-charge Davinder Yadav, Gurinder Singh Dhillon's wife and son were also present on the occasion of joining. 

The Congress is likely to field Gurinder Dhillon as a candidate from Ferozepur seat. Congress has announced 12 candidates in Punjab and name of the candidate on the seat is yet to be announced. It is believed that Dhillon can be the candidate of Congress from Ferozepur. Gurinder Singh Dhillon had recently applied for VRS, which was approved by the the Punjab government.
