Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that there are three candidates in the race for the coveted post of Member CBDT. They are Shabri Bhattasali (Principal CCIT, Pune); Arbind Modi (Principal CCIT, Delhi) and K C Jain (Principal CCIT, Jaipur).
Currently, two posts of Member have been lying vacant in CBDT vice R C Mishra and Ms. Rani Singh Nair, former Chairman CBDT who retired on 31 October 2016. Another Member's post vice Mishra lying vacant since August 2016.
