Snehlata Shrivastava appointed secretary-general of Lok Sabha

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has appointed 1982 Batch Madhya Pradesh Cadre IAS officer Snehlata Shrivastava as Secretary-General of Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha Secretariat with effect from December 1. Shrivastava will be the first woman secretary-general of the Lok Sabha. Her tenure will end on November 30 next year.
The new appointment comes before the winter session of Parliament which will commence on December 15.
