Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that Ms. Sarada M Muraleedharan (IAS:1990:KL) will shortly be appointed as Director General of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT, Hyderabad). She will replace Sudhir Tripathy (IAS:1985:JH) who has reportedly already received a farewell and is expected to repatriate to Jharkhand. Indianmandarins has further learnt that Tripathy would be made Chief Secretary in the state but many cadre officers deny his prospects. Currently, she is serving in Govt of India as Joint Secretary (Capacity Building), Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Her husband & batchmate Dr. Venu V (IAS:1990:KL), too, served in Govt of India as DG, National Museum. It was during his tenure as the Director General of the National Museum, Delhi that the museum witnessed the structural & organizational transformation. Dr. Venu also played a major role in the Incredible India campaign during his tenure as Jt secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India. Currently, he is posted in the Govt of Kerala.
