Former India’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Anurag Srivastava (IFS:1999) on Monday took charge as the new spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs. He replaced succeeding Raveesh Kumar. Previously, he also worked at MEA headquarters, Finance Division which administers its annual budget. He also served at India’s Permanent Mission (PMI) to the UN in Geneva where he dealt with work related to trade policy, refugee issues and human rights. He also served in the Pakistan- Iran-Afghanistan (PIA) division of the MEA headquarters.
