The NaMO administration on Friday effected a major bureaucratic rejig at Centre at the level of Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary and DS & Director:

  1. Arun Singhal (lAS:1987:UP) appointed as as Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in the rank and pay of Secretary to Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, he is Special Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
  2. S Gopalakrishnan (lAS:1991:TN) appointed as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, on lateral shift basis for the balance period of his Central Deputation tenure i.e upto 27.10.2022. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
  3. Rajendra Kumar (IAS:1992:TN) appointed as as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He was on 12.05.2020 appointed as DG, ESIC.
  4. Subir Mallick (lA&AS: 1989), Additional Financial Adviser and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance) in-situ elevated at the level of Additional Secretary for the balance period of his Central deputation tenure i.e. till 04-05-2021. He was on 12.05.2020 appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, DIo Agricultural Research and Education.
  5. C Sridhar (lAS:2001:BH), currently serving as Deputy Director in LBSNAA, Mussoorie, appointed as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, on lateral shift basis for an overall tenure of 7 years upto 4.08.2022.
  6. Ms Alaknanda Dayal (lAS:2000:PB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agricultue, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare for a combined tenure of seven years outside the cadre upto 24.11.2022.
  7. Ms Pallavi Agarwal (IRS lT:1991) appointed as Member Secretary, National Monuments Authority, Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five years vice Navneet Soni (IRS lT:1988).
  8. Vipin Kumar (IAS:1996:BH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy for a tenure of five years vice Sachin Sinha (IAS:1995:MP). 
  9. Surendra Prasad Yadav (lFoS:1996:WB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a tenure of five years vice Vijayendra (lAS:1991:AM).
  10. Ms V Radha (lAS:1994:MH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade for an overall tenure of five years upto 29.03.2022 by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of DS/Director Rajeev Kandpal (IP&TA&FS:1995).
  11. Manish Tiwari (IRTS:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for a tenure of five years.
  12. Vijay Kumar Singh (ICAS:1995) appointed as Member (Finance), Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for a tenure of five years vice Shri K. Vinayak Rao, (IRAS:1987)
  13. Ateesh Kumar Singh (IRTS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Development Commissioner in the O/o Development Commissioner (MSME) for a period of two years. 
  14. Anupam Mishra (IES:1995) appointed as JS(A&F), Development Monitoring & Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Aayog,  for a tenure of five years.
  15. Ms Vinod Kotwal (IP&TA&FS:1994) appointed as Member Secretary, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Ritu Dhillon (IA&AS:1995)
  16. Ghanshyam Prasad (CPES:1989) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power for a tenure of five years vice Aniruddha Kumar (IRS IT:1987).
  17. Ms Himabindu Mudumbai (IA&AS:1999) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue for a tenure of five years vice Sanjiv Kumar (lAS:1992:UT).
  18. Sunil Kumar (IFS:1989:PB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Science & Technology for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of DS/Director in the Department vice Rajesh Kumar (CPES:2001) for a period of two years. 
  19. Ms R Jaya (lAS:1995:TN) appointed as  Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 24.04.2024.
  20. Ms. Roop Rashi (IA&AS:1994) appointed as Textile Commissioner, Mumbal under the Ministry of Textiles for a tenure of five years vice Sanjay A Chahande (IAS:1988:MH).
  21. Ms. Meera Mohanty (lAS:2005:HP) appointed as Director in the Prime Minister's Office on lateral shift basis for a period ending u01.05.2021. Presently, she is earlier Director, Cabinet Secretariat
  22. Ms. Smita Sarangi (IAS:2008:NL) laterally shifted to Cabinet Secretariat as Deputy Secretary for the balance period of her Central Deputation tenure i.e. upto 29.07.2022. Presently, she is Deputy Secretary in DoPT.
