A group of forest officers from Chhattisgarh had to cancel their visit to the United States last week. The group was supposed to travel with state Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda. Tickets had been booked and bags had been packed. However, the US Embassy in New Delhi, for some reason, did not clear the visa of Gagda, leaving the others, who had already got their visas, in a peculiar situation. They could not have traveled without their boss, and eventually had to cancel their tickets.
