A 1989 batch Rajasthan-cadre IPS officer, Indu Kumar Bhushan, who is an additional director general of police, has been asked to leave his mid-career training programme (MCTP) at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, after he allegedly argued with Governor ESL Narasimhan and also ‘misbehaved’ with Narasimhan’s assistant at a program in Hyderabad on Monday.
Director of the National Police Academy, Aruna M Bahughuna said that he was dropped from the programme for his misbehaviour.
The police officer is alleged to have had an argument with the governor over the governor’s comments on RTI applicants. Bhushan is said to have objected to the comments and exchange of question and answers that lasted for a few minutes when the governor’s assistant intervened.
Incidentally, Bhushan in March-2015 filed an RTI application with the Police Academy seeking information regarding cancellation of his nomination from the MTCP Phase-V and requested for a 10-point reply.
