In selection interview held on March 13, PESB has selected S V Kher (SR. VP, SCI) for the post of Director (Bulk Carriers & Tankers), Shipping Corporation of India.
Captain Sunil Thapar, the incumbent Dir (B&T), is scheduled to retire on September 30 this year. He had taken over as Director (B&T) on Jan 11, 2011. Once the selection is ratified by the ACC, S V Kher will succeed Capt S Thapar.
