• New Delhi (13.06.2024): Signalling a seamless continuity in the governance and administration the NaMo administration in its third successive term appointed Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra (Retd IAS: 1972: GJ) as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and Ajit Doval (Retd IPS: 1968: KL) as National Security Adviser. The term of the two top authorities, Doval and Mishra, will be co-terminus with the term of Prime Minister Modi in the rank of Cabinet Minister in the Table of Precedence.
The appointments of Ajit Doval and Dr PK Mishra, were being speculated ever since the NaMo-Shah-led BJP was out there seeking a mandate for the third consecutive term.
Not surprisingly, another two key officials namely, Amit Khare (Retd IAS: 1985: JH) and Tarun Kapoor (Retd IAS: 1987: HP), working as Adviser to the Prime Minister, were also retained in the seat of power for a period of two years w.e.f. 10.06.2024.
