Haryana CM Manoharlal Khattar continues to reorganize his office. After appointing D S Dhesi (Retd IAS:1982:HY) as Chief Principal Secretary, he has appointed his Principal Secretary V Umashankar (IAS:1993:HY) as chairman of the board of directors of HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation), Panchkula. While some officers wanted Dhesi to also hold the HSIIDC post, the fact is that usually PS to the CM is the Ex-Officio Chairman of the HSIIDC and hence Umashankar's appointment follows the precedents.
