New Delhi (15.03.2023): A delegation from PHDCCI comprising Vineet Nahata, Chair, Task Force on Cooperatives PHDCCI, Dr Ranjeet Mehta, Executive Director, PHDCCI; Dr Jatinder Singh, Asst. Secretary General; PHDCCI and Rupesh K Pandey, Sr Secretary, PHDCCI met Ashish Kumar Bhutani (IAS: 1992: AM), the Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation on March 15, 2024.

The meeting was marked by a significant exchange of ideas aimed at fostering cooperative development in India. Vineet Nahata congratulated the Cooperation Ministry for several path breaking and game changing initiatives taken such as Creation of a comprehensive Database of Co Operatives a compass for data mining and focused research for policy formulation, creation of NCEL National Cooperative Exports Ltd to establish a Indian Cooperatives footprint on the Global business landscape and launch of the Umbrella Organization NUCFDC to act as Suraksha Kavach for UCBs.

The PHDCCI delegation comprising Dr Jatiender Singh and Rupesh Pandey presented a roadmap and planning document to the Secretary that outlined strategic initiatives for enhancing the cooperative sector's integration with national schemes such as Startup India and the schemes of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Dr Ranjeet Mehta Executive Director PHDCCI emphasized on the efficacy of 54 initiatives of Cooperative Ministry to act as a roadmap for future. The secretary praised PHDCCI's efforts in promoting the cooperative sector and its potential impact on the economy and assured the delegation of the Ministry's full support, committing to the roadmap's implementation.
