Former AGMUT Cadre IAS officer K K Sharma (1983 Batch) was on Friday appointed as State Election Commissioner of the Union Territory of J&K. Sharma resigned from the post of Advisor To Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor on Friday. Sharma started his stint (post-retirement) as advisor LG in November last year. During his career spanning around 30 years, he has held various positions, including the Adviser to the Administrator of Chandigarh, Chief Secretary of Delhi and Goa and later he served as Secretary in the Ministry of Human Resource Development before his retirement.
