Including PNB, Canara Bank & Bank of Baroda selection interviews for CMDs of eight public sector banks is expected to take place tomorrow. As many as 16 eligible candidates are expected to be interviewed for CMDs (of eight public sector banks) by three sub-committees tomorrow.
Apart from Hasmukh Adhia (Secretary Department of Financial Services), Additional Secretary (DFS) and RBI Deputy Governor the sub-committees have three outside experts; S Viswanathan (former MD, SBI), Rishikesha T Krishnan (Director- IIM Indore) & Ms Shubhalakshmi Panse (former MD, Allahabad Bank). The final selections would be made by the appointment board chaired by RBI Governor which will further be sent to the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and subsequently to the ACC.
The new government at centre had recently cancelled the selection of heads of six PSU banks and 14 executive directors made during the UPA tenure. Tomorrow’s interview would be the fresh exercise for selection of heads of PSB Banks.
