RPF

Ministry of Railways is reported to have started the appointment process for Director General, Railway Protection Force. The incumbent DG, RPF Krishna Chaudhary (IPS:1979:BH) is set to be relieved from Railway Ministry to join as DG, ITBP this week.

If sources are to be believed three names have been in serious contention for DG, RPF namely; Rajiv Ranjan Verma (IPS:1979:BH), the incumbent DG, NCRB; Ramesh Chand Tayal (IPS:1980:AM), Special DG CRPF and A Radhakrishna Kinni (IPS:1981:BH), Special DG, BPRD. Navneet R Wasan (IPS:1980:AP), Special DG, NIA is also said to be in contention for DG, RPF but credible sources say that his chances are fairer for DG, NCRB in case R R Verma is appointed as DG, RPF.
