Dipak Misra appointed next CJI

The Union Law Ministry announced on June 8 that Dipak Misra, senior most judge of the Supreme Court, would be the next Chief Justice of India and take over from the incumbent, J S Khehar, on August 27. Misra is 63 years old and may continue till he becomes 65.
